Using the Blog Writer

Learn how to use Halo Studio's Blog Writer tool to create on-brand blog posts

The Blog Writer is one of Halo Studio's most powerful content tools. It generates complete, on-brand blog posts tailored to your brand voice and guidelines with model-specific length options for guaranteed quality.

Navigate to Halo Studio from the sidebar, then select Blog Writer. Or go directly to /halo-studio/blog-writer.


How It Works

The Blog Writer uses your Brand Intelligence to generate blog posts that:

  • Match Your Voice: Content sounds authentically like your brand
  • Align With Values: Messaging reflects your brand values and positioning
  • Maintain Consistency: Every post follows your Brand Book
  • Target Your Audience: Content speaks to your defined target audience

Step-by-Step Guide

Enter Your Blog Theme

Describe the strategic theme or angle the post should explore—the concept that drives the content. You do not need a polished headline; the tool creates an SEO-friendly title. Be specific for better results:

  • Good: "Sustainable packaging choices for small e-commerce brands"
  • Better: "How switching to minimal, recyclable packaging affects cost, customer trust, and shipping for SMB retailers"

Choose Model & Length

Select your AI model and desired length:

  • Premium (Claude Sonnet 4.5): Short (500-700), Medium (1000-1500), or Long (2000-2500 words)
  • Balanced (GPT-4o): Short (500-700) or Medium (1000-1500 words) only
  • Economy (Llama 3.3): Short (500-700) or Medium (1000-1500 words) only

Long posts (2000+ words) are only available with Premium model for guaranteed quality. If you select Long and switch to Balanced/Economy, it automatically switches to Medium.

Configure Additional Options

Adjust other settings as needed:

  • Tone: Uses your brand's tone automatically, with optional adjustments
  • Keywords: Add specific keywords to include
  • Target Audience: Specify if different from your brand's default audience

Generate

Click Generate or press Ctrl+Enter (Windows) / Cmd+Enter (Mac). The Blog Writer creates a complete post based on your Brand Intelligence. A word count badge shows progress toward your target length.

Review and Edit

Review the generated content. You can:

  • Edit directly in the editor
  • Regenerate for a different approach
  • Copy the content to use elsewhere
  • Export as markdown, RTF, or plain text
  • Save to Asset Library for future reference

Understanding Length Options

Length options are model-specific to ensure quality:

📏 Short (500-700 words)

Available with all models. Perfect for quick posts, announcements, or summaries.

đź“„ Medium (1000-1500 words)

Available with all models. Standard blog post length for most topics.

📚 Long (2000-2500 words)

Premium model only. Comprehensive, in-depth articles with guaranteed quality.

Premium model (Claude Sonnet 4.5) consistently delivers high-quality long-form content. Other models can technically generate 2000+ words but struggle with quality and consistency. Model-specific restrictions ensure you always get the best results for your chosen length.

⏱ Long posts take time

Articles in the Long (2000–2500 words) range can take up to about three minutes to finish streaming while the model writes. The word count updates as text arrives—keep this tab open until generation completes.
