Using Brand Knowledge

Add proprietary content (processes, products, compliance) so Halo Chat and Halo Studio generate more accurate, brand-specific outputs

Brand Knowledge lets you add proprietary content—such as patented processes, product catalogs, or compliance requirements—to your brand. While Brand Strategy workshops capture your structured identity, Brand Knowledge captures the domain-specific details that help Halo Chat and Halo Studio generate more accurate, brand-informed content.

📍 How to Access

Navigate to Brand Knowledge from the sidebar under Your Brand DNA, or go to /brand/knowledge.


Where Brand Knowledge Is Used

Brand Knowledge is only used when you explicitly select it. If you don't select any snippets or presets, no Brand Knowledge is injected into AI prompts.

  • Halo Chat: Use the Brand Knowledge selector in the chat header to choose snippets or a preset. Your selection persists for that conversation.
  • Halo Studio tools: Each tool has a Brand Knowledge selector in the left panel. Pick snippets or a preset before generating — the selection applies to that run.

You can create presets on the Brand Knowledge page — named bundles of snippets — and quickly select them in Chat or any tool.

💡 Why Add Brand Knowledge

Workshops define your brand's voice, values, and positioning. Brand Knowledge adds the specifics—your healing methodology, product specs, or compliance language—so AI outputs are accurate and on-brand.

💡 Add Directly from Halo Studio Tools

Many Halo Studio tools now include an "Add to Brand Knowledge" button after generating content. Click it to instantly save the output—such as a campaign brief, brand voice guide, or blog draft—into Brand Knowledge. This is especially useful for short-term campaign context. Remove it when the campaign ends to keep your knowledge base focused.

When adding content, choose a category so it's organized and prioritized in AI prompts:

How to Add Content

Option 1: Paste

Click Add

Open the Brand Knowledge page and click the "Add" button.

Select Paste Tab

In the Add modal, choose the "Paste" tab (default).

Enter Title, Category, and Content

Give your content a clear title, select a category, and paste your text. Maximum 50,000 characters per entry.

Save

Click Save to add the content to your Brand Knowledge.

Option 2: Upload

Upload PDF, DOCX, or TXT files (max 10MB). Text is extracted server-side and added as Brand Knowledge.

Click Add and Select Upload Tab

In the Add modal, switch to the "Upload" tab.

Choose File

Select a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file from your computer. Drag-and-drop is also supported.

Set Title and Category

Edit the title (defaults to filename) and select a category.

Upload

Click Upload. The file's text will be extracted and stored as Brand Knowledge.


Summary and Refine

For longer content, use Summary or Refine to create a prompt-ready condensed version. This improves AI context quality and fits within prompt limits.

  • Summary: Extracts key facts and constraints into bullets.
  • Refine: Rewrites for clarity and prompt-friendliness.

When a prompt-ready version exists, a badge appears on the card. The AI uses this condensed text instead of truncated full content.

View and Reorder

👁️ View Full Content

Use the View (eye) button on any card to read the complete content in a read-only modal.

↕️ Reorder Priority

Drag cards by the grip handle to change their order. Items higher in the list are prioritized when content exceeds the prompt cap.

📦 Presets

Create presets to bundle multiple snippets. Select a preset in Halo Chat or Halo Studio tools for quick access.

Descriptive titles help you find and manage content

Keep Content Focused

One topic per entry; split long documents into logical sections

Prioritize by Order

Place most important content first for better retention in prompts

Update as Needed

Edit or remove outdated content to keep AI outputs accurate
