Insights: synthesizing evidence

Turn findings into approved insights, create decisions, and activate supporting insights for AI context.

Insights are synthesis from your evidence — not raw notes. On the Insights page you review finding-derived candidates, approve the ones that hold up, turn the clearest ones into decisions, and optionally activate insights as supporting context for AI.

📍 How to Access

Open Insights from the Strategy submenu, or go directly to /insights. A workflow stepper highlights where Insights sit on the strategy spine (Sources → Insights → Decisions → Brand Intelligence).

Lifecycle and filters

Switch between lifecycle status tabsNeeds review, Approved, Actioned, and Archived — and open the Filters menu to refine by insight type and origin. Actioned means an insight was used in a downstream artifact, which is separate from creating a decision.

How to work insights

1
Get candidates from findings

On Sources, save a finding to the Insight Library (no AI, no credits) or run batch synthesize insights across at least three findings (uses credits).

2
Approve or reject candidates

Edit candidate text if needed, then Approve insight or Reject. Use Select for bulk approve/reject on candidates, or bulk archive on non-archived insights.

3
Create a decision

When the strategic choice is clear, use Create decision on an approved insight. The card then shows a Decision created badge with a View decision link.

4
Activate as supporting insight (optional)

Toggle Activate as supporting insight to let AI read an insight as supplemental signal — supporting context only, not a substitute for a decision.

💡 Pro Tip

Approving an insight validates the synthesis; creating a decision is what actually fuels Brand Intelligence. Don't stop at "Approved" for choices that should drive content — push them to Decisions.
