How to structure announcement-ready press releases

The Press Release tool generates professional, publication-ready announcements for product launches, company milestones, partnerships, and updates. It follows standard press release structure so your output is ready to send to media contacts or publish on your newsroom.

📍 How to Access

Navigate to Halo Studio → Press Release in the sidebar, or go directly to /halo-studio/press-release.

What the tool produces

Each press release follows the standard structure journalists expect:

📰 Headline + subhead

A concise, newsworthy headline paired with a supporting subheadline that adds context.

📍 Dateline + lead

A factual opening paragraph covering the who, what, when, where, and why.

💬 Quotes + body

Supporting details, executive quotes, and context that flesh out the announcement.

🏢 Boilerplate

A standard company description pulled from your Brand Strategy for the closing section.

How to write a strong press release

1
Provide the announcement details

Include the announcement date, what's being announced, and who it affects. Be specific — vague inputs produce generic releases.

2
Add quotes and proof elements

Include executive quotes, customer testimonials, statistics, or partnership details. These add credibility and make the release more publishable.

3
Specify the target audience

Is this for tech media, industry trade publications, local press, or general business outlets? The tone and detail level adjust accordingly.

4
Review the headline and first paragraph

These two elements determine whether a journalist reads further. Make the headline newsworthy and the first paragraph factual and complete.

Common press release types

  • Product launch: New feature, product, or service announcement.
  • Company milestone: Funding rounds, growth metrics, or awards.
  • Partnership: Strategic alliances, integrations, or collaborations.
  • Event: Conference participation, webinars, or community events.
💡 Pro Tip

Generate your press release first, then use Content Repurposer to create social posts, email announcements, and blog summaries from the same source material. One announcement, multiple channels — all on-brand.
